Georgetown County father charged after kids go missing on NYE

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) – The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office has arrested a father of two after his children went missing on New Year's Eve.
Shannon Tisdale of 596 Gene Dr., has been charged with unlawful neglect of a child. According to authorities, his 2-year-old and a 3-year-old boys went missing around 1 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
Authorities were advised that the children had wandered from the residence in an unknown direction of travel. Both boys were located about two hours later approximately 1.5 miles from their residence by a member of the community. Multiple agencies and numerous members of the community were involved in the search.
Tisdale turned himself in to authorities at 8 a.m. Friday.
Georgetown County Fire and EMS units along with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Bloodhound Tracking Team, A SLED Aviation unit and numerous members of the community assisted in the search. A SLED helicopter also assisted with the search.
