AIKEN, SC (WCSC) - The driver who investigators say caused a deadly car accident that killed two Charleston students is now being charged with driving under the influence.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says Steven Corley is charged with two counts of felony DUI in connection with the fatal crash on Dec. 29 in Aiken County.

Alex Bush and Katie Scott were home for the holidays when they were killed in the accident.

Witnesses say Corley was speeding and trying to pass people when he crossed over the center line and hit the couple head on.
