MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - Moncks Corner police say a husband and wife wanted for running a counterfeit check ring turned themselves in Tuesday.
According to police, 26-year-old Harry Capers III and his wife, 34-year-old Keya Capers, turned themselves in Tuesday morning through their lawyer.
Both are being charged with forgery and criminal conspiracy. Police say the couple would make bogus checks and have others cash them in at a Moncks Corner Walmart.
Harry Capers is facing eight charges and a judge set bond at $120,000 Tuesday night. Keya Capers is facing one charge and is being held on a $15,000 bond.
So far, three other people have been arrested in connection with the crime.
