WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - After a tug of war between authorities and the owners of Club 17 South in Hollywood, the Town of Hollywood has revoked the club's business license.
The license was revoked is just weeks after a shooting that left two men wounded and several cars with bullet holes.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office says in recent months, deputies have been called to the club many times for crimes ranging from sexual assaults to shootings.
Officials say a move to close the club is a matter of public safety. There will be a hearing on Wednesday about the business license.
