CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities have arrested a man wanted for breaking into a house and holding a woman at gunpoint in Charleston.
U.S. Marshals arrested 28-year-old Ramone Carter who was wanted for the armed robbery that happened in November of last year. According to authorities, the victim, a 21-year-old woman, saw the suspect leaning on the railing next to her apartment door as she was walking to her apartment.
The victim said that as she opened the door, the suspect approached her from behind and took out a pistol and put it to the victim's head. The suspect then took her around the home demanding and searching for money, authorities say.
A police report says that the suspect took money, a laptop and phone then left.
Carter is charged with armed robbery, first-degree burglary, kidnapping and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
