CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County officials are trying to eliminate separation anxiety, at least when it comes to recycling.
The county begins a pilot program Monday for 4,600 homes called single-stream recycling.
Residents no longer have to separate paper, metal and plastic in separate recycling bins.
Instead, all recycling goes in a large blue rolling cart, similar to your rolling garbage can.
The idea is to make it easier for people to recycle. County officials also say using one blue cart per household helps to keep neighborhoods neater.
