Police say suspects locked employee in bathroom during robbery

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police say two male suspects locked an employee in the bathroom after robbing a business Friday.

North Charleston police officers responded to the Check Into Cash on 9730 Dorchester Road around 3 p.m. Friday in response to a robbery. The victim told police that two black males entered the store and demanded money. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The victim complied with the demand. The suspects then locked the victim in the restroom before fleeing the store, according to police.  No one was injured during the robbery.

The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'6" with a medium build. Police say he was wearing a white shirt with red and yellow stripes and black pants. He was also wearing black and white shoes.

The second suspect is also described as a black male, about 5'8" with medium build and light skin. According to police, he was wearing an oversized white shirt and black pants with a red cross on one of the back pockets.
