WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - The estranged wife of Ronald David Ratliff, Missy Ratliff, agreed to let her estranged husband plea to a less serious charge which allowed him to get out of jail early.
According to the Solicitor's Office, Ratliff thought drug counseling would help her estranged husband get better.
Ratliff served just 118 days, about 4 months of his original sentence.
Deputies say Ratliff shot and killed his mother-in-law, shot his estranged wife then killed himself on Tuesday in West Ashley.
He was in jail for a domestic violence charge after police say he attacked his ex-wife in their home.
