MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - There are several lane closures this week that could make your drive to and from Mt. Pleasant a little longer.
The first is at Bowman Road near the intersection of Johnnie Dodds Boulevard and Chuck Dawley Boulevard. Lane closures will affect the east and west bound lanes starting Monday night at 9 p.m. and lasting until 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The second closure is a partial lane closure for the next three nights on East Frontage Road next to the Nason Medical Center. Road work will be from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday night. Closures will happen until Friday, Feb. 4.
Vehicles will be able to access businesses along East Frontage Road from Anna Knapp Boulevard.
The entire road widening project is expected to be completed by March 2013.
There are also lane closures on West Coleman Boulevard from Patriots Point to Lansing Drive. Those lanes will be closed for the next four to six months as crews from SCE&G upgrade an existing electrical line.
