SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Summerville running back DeAngelo Henderson made his college football choice Wednesday morning, signing a national letter of intent to play for Coastal Carolina.
"I want to bring a little bit of Summerville. I want to bring some tradition up there," Henderson said. "It felt good to get it. It's good to know that I can continue my career and go to the next level and play football."
Henderson finished the 2010 season with 1,623 yards rushing and 18 rushing touchdowns.
"I'm happy with it, I can't complain. I had a bunch of good coaches and I'm happy," Henderson said.
Summerville's John Higgins announced that he will play for North Greenville.
"I think the two colleges, North Greenville and Coastal, has really gotten a steal with those two guys," Summerville coach John McKissick said of the two players. "They can play anywhere. This is a good fit for them. They'll do well there. They'll represent us real well. Two great guys."
