Summerville's Higgins announces signing with North Greenville

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Summerville defensive lineman John Higgins announced on Wednesday that he will play for North Greenville.

"I'm just glad to play the next level. High school was fun. I know I'll miss it, but I've been waiting for this chance for a long time," Higgins said.

Coach John McKissick spoke about both Higgins and DeAngelo Henderson making the cut,"I think the two colleges North Greenville and Coastal, has really gotten a steal with these two guys. They can play anywhere. This is a good fit for them. They'll do well there."

Higgins spoke about his choices and how he narrowed it down to North Greenville, "I had some other choices. I just felt like North Greenville was a better fit. I like the coaches. I like the players. I like the campus."

Summerville running back DeAngelo Henderson also made his college football choice Wednesday morning, signing a national letter of intent to play for Coastal Carolina.
