Deputies: Man robs North Charleston Dollar General

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a Dollar General store was robbed around noon Thursday.

According to the sheriff's office, a man entered the Dollar General on Ashley Phosphate Road and demanded the cashier open the cash register. The suspect then grabbed the cash from the drawer and left, according to deputies.

The sheriff's office used a K-9 unit, but they were unable to locate the strong armed robbery suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a blue jeans, a black jacket and a stocking cap.
