HOLLYWOOD, SC (WCSC) - A business lost its chance to open in Hollywood after an advertisement made its way to the computer of the town's clerk.

Hollywood town clerk Niema Gantt-Brown says the owners of Heart of the City, a new bar and grill, acted without a business license.

She says a citizen brought an ad from the potential new business to her attention. The racy ad names Jan. 28 as the bar and grill's grand opening, but Heart of the City did not have a license to operate, which makes the event illegal, officials say.

Gantt-Brown says based on this, she revoked Heart of the City's business license application last week.

According to Gantt-Brown, the advertisement circulated around Hollywood taking some folks by surprise.
