CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police have arrested a 17 year old for robbing a pizza delivery driver in Charleston.

The Charleston Police Department charged Kresha O. Simmons with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

The driver told police that she was sent to a home on Morrison Drive to make a delivery on Jan. 29. Officers say when the driver was close to the location, she made contact in her vehicle using her phone and the customer said he was standing outside of his apartment.

The victim then parked and walked towards the apartment. Before she was able to make contact with the customer, the victim said she saw three black male juveniles running towards her.

According to authorities, she thought that the three juveniles were just playing around with each other and at that point, the trio pulled out handguns and pointed them and made contact with her head.

The three surrounded the victim and took $35 from her as well as the pizza delivery.
