Trio nabbed for snatching bank bags from restaurant

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Deputies have arrested three men in connection with an armed robbery at a barbecue restaurant in Moncks Corner.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office has charged Kenneth Ryan Wilson and Mark Eugene Weissman, both 20, with the Feb 4. armed robbery at the Moose's Barbecue on 1440 South Live Oak Dr.

James Strickland, 35, has also been charged with accessory before the fact of armed robbery.

The victim told police that as she was leaving the restaurant for the evening, an unknown person dressed in dark clothing came out of the wooded area near the business.

According to investigators, a suspect grabbed the two bank bags and ran away. When deputies searched the area they found a black hooded sweat shirt, black mask, and a black .45 semi automatic handgun.

Authorities also found the two bank bags with money missing from both. All three men were locked up at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner.

Wilson's bond was set at $90,0000. Weissman and Strickland are awaiting a bond hearing.
