DUI suspect arrested after spitting, biting, threatening to kill officer

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - A 26-year-old man was arrested after police say he assaulted and threatened to kill a military officer at the Naval Weapons Station in Goose Creek following a hit-and-run incident.

The Goose Creek Police Department charged Jose Resinos Nocmagana with assault on a police officer, threatening a public official and driving under the influence.

The incident happened Friday evening when a police officer arrived at the Redbank Club in reference to a DUI incident. When the officer got there, he says he found two military police officers in an active struggle with the suspect, Nocmagana.

Military police told the officer that the suspect attempted to hit them with a closed fit and was spitting, biting and being very aggressive.

The officer then returned to his vehicle and got a spit hood and leg shackles from his vehicle. At that point, investigators say Nocmagana began biting the boot of one of the military police officers.

According to authorities, the police officer then drew his taser and commanded the suspect to stop moving and proceeded to put him in the back of the police vehicle. A police report states that when officers were finally able to get the suspect into the rear of the vehicle, Nocmagana said he was going to kill one of the military officers and began kicking the officers.

Police say when asked his name and address, Nocmagana said his name was Bin Laden from Honduras.

When the suspect's vehicle was located, authorities found severe damage to the front side of the vehicle as well as to the windshield and passenger side of the vehicle, a police report stated.

Officials report that the vehicle was involved in a hit and run incident on Harbour Lake Drive Friday.
