Middle schoolers toss pies at teachers

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) - A group of New Jersey teachers got pies to their faces after losing a bet with their students.

Teachers at Whitman Elementary in Washington Township, NJ, had to stand still Thursday as their students threw pie after pie at them.

For once, the kids were thrilled to have the upper hand.

The teachers bet their students that they couldn't sell more than 200 hoagies in a recent school sale.

The kids took the challenge to heart, selling 267 sandwiches, and let the pies fly.

It was a perfect day for the pie toss, as temperatures were up to a warm 60 degrees.
