Suspect wanted for robbing James Island pharmacy

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Police are on the lookout for a man that robbed a pharmacy on James Island Wednesday afternoon.

The Charleston Police Department says the Plantation Pharmacy at 776 Daniel Ellis Drive was robbed around 2 p.m. by a white male armed with a handgun.

Authorities describe the suspect as 5'11", in his late 20's to early 30's, wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt and khaki pants.

Police say the suspect stole an undetermined amount of oxycontin.

Authorities have not determined if this incident is related to another Plantation Pharmacy robbery in West Ashley on Feb. 9.
