6 middle school students face drug charges

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) – Six students from H.E. McCracken Middle School were arrested and charged Thursday after an a Bluffton Police School Resource Officer investigated an incident.

A student brought a soda bottle containing alcohol onto school property and shared it with three other students, according to police. Two other students were also caught attempting to hide a small clear plastic bag containing marijuana, according to police.

One male student and three female students were charged with possession of alcohol. A male and female student were charged with simple possession of marijuana.

The students ranged in age from 13 to 15 and were released to their parents.
