CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A line of showers and a few rumbles of thunder are moving along to the west along Interstate 95 Friday morning. Keep the umbrella handy Friday as showers push into the Charleston area and will most likely create a damp mid-day lunch break.
Temperatures are still well above average in the mid 60's. Temperatures will head up into the mid to upper 70's by afternoon. Winds are also an issue out ahead of the showers. A wind advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. due to winds gusting upwards up to 23 to 35 mph across the coast. Be careful on the bridges and overpasses.
The front that is pushing all the rain through Friday will clear off the coast later this evening and bring along with it dry weather for the weekend and mild temperatures. Overnight, clouds will clear and lows will be in the mid 40's.
Both Saturday and Sunday look great with just a few clouds and highs in the low 70's both days away from the beaches. On the coast, it will stay in the upper 60's. The next chance for showers looks to be late Monday and Tuesday.
