NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) –The 12th Annual Chef's Feast Gala will be held at the Embassy Suites Sunday evening in North Charleston to help fight childhood hunger.
Led by Chef Robert Carter of Peninsula Grill, a record twenty-nine of the Lowcountry's most acclaimed chefs will once again join together to fight childhood hunger and celebrate an evening of exquisite food and quality entertainment.
The 12th annual Chefs' Feast gala benefits the Lowcountry Food Bank's Kids Cafe and BackPack Buddies programs. According to the Lowcountry Food Bank's hunger study, "Hunger in America 2010," childhood hunger has increased by 10% since 2006. Hunger and malnutrition strike one in four children in our community.
This event will start at 6p.m. and will conclude at around 9:30p.m. at the Embassy Suites on 5055 International Boulevard in the Convention Center's Grand Ballroom.
