CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - It's time to get out the forks and pop the corks as the annual Charleston Wine and Food Festival opens for a sixth season.
Several festival events are set for Thursday with opening ceremonies on Friday in Charleston's Marion Square.
The main attraction at the festival is the Culinary Village where visitors can attend cooking demonstrations and try samples of food and wine at more than 90 booths.
There's also an auction and casting producers from the TV shows "Top Chef" and "Top Chef Just Desserts" are in town for the festival.
The festival last week was awarded the Governor's Cup at the South Carolina Governor's Conference on Travel and Tourism. The cup goes to the top tourism attraction in South Carolina.
