Duo bond set for Mount Pleasant bank robbery

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) – Mt. Pleasant police have arrested two suspects for a bank robbery Friday morning.

Police charged Mark Varian Seabrook and William Nathaniel Alston, both 18 and from Mount Pleasant, with armed robbery.

Both Seabrook and Alston received a one hundred thousand dollars surety bond Saturday morning in Bond Court.

They are being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.

According to police, the Sun Trust Bank located at 404 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. was robbed at 9:20 a.m. Police officers had areas of the bank taped off Friday.

According to police, one of the suspects entered the bank and demanded money from the clerk before fleeing the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of currency.
