CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police have arrested the man they say held up a CVS Pharmacy for opiates in West Ashley last week.
Charleston Police say 25-year-old Shane Paul Young, of Dorothy Drive, was arrested and charged with armed robbery.
The incident happened at the CVS at 2566 Ashley River Road on February 23 around 9:30 p.m., when Young entered the pharmacy and demanded oxycontin and loritab, according to investigators.
Police said that Young implied that he was carrying a weapon. The pharmacist told police he left the store with oxycontin.
He is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.
