COLUMBIA, SC (AP) - A South Carolina foundation is honoring some Columbia-area students for their help restoring a Vietnam War-era helicopter.
The Celebrate Freedom Foundation on Saturday is honoring students from Richland County School District 1 at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport.
Students have been helping restore the foundation's Cobra helicopter, Maggie. The helicopter is named for the comedian Martha Ray, an honorary Special Forces colonel during the Vietnam War.
On Saturday, the students are signing the inside of Maggie's engine cover.
