Fire damages North Charleston mobile home

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - The North Charleston Fire Department is investigating what caused a mobile home fire Monday.

The fire started around 1:30 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Dalton Street, just off Rivers Avenue. A police officer on patrol reported the fire to the dispatch center.

The first arriving fire department units reported smoke showing at the single-wide mobile home.  They extinguished the relatively small fire that caused smoke damage throughout the vacant structure.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
