GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Investigators identified and charged a third subject believed to be involved in an incident where explosive device was thrown onto St. James Avenue in Goose Creek.
Goose Creek police arrested 17-year-old Khalle Crawford and charged him with possessing, manufacturing and soliciting an explosive device with the intent to cause damage.
A Goose Creek municipal court judge set Crawford's surety bond at $10,000.
According to a witness, a teen threw a bottle filled with bullets and flammable liquid onto Highway 176 near the Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday night.
When police arrived on the scene, they noticed a smoldering bottle and immediately closed the lane down. The Goose Creek Fire Department discovered fourteen .22 caliber Remington bullets inside the bottle. Officials say the liquid inside was likely flammable paint thinner.
Crawford is being held at the Hill‐Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner.
The investigation remains active and additional charges related to the two juveniles involved in the incident are forthcoming.
