Charleston police to talk with citizens about recent crime in West Ashley

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Two recent deadly shooting and other crimes over the last few weeks have some residents in West Ashley concerned about the safety of their neighborhoods.

The Charleston Police Department wants to hear from citizens at a special meeting Thursday night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen will hold a citizen's advisory meeting at Ashley River Creative Arts Elementary School on Wallace School Road.

Mullen and his senior staff will take questions and comments about crime or other issues. They will also talk about new department initiatives aimed at keeping your neighborhood safe.
