Police: Woman burns down ex-boyfriend's home

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Police have arrested a 32-year-old woman accused of burning down her ex-boyfriend's home in Berkeley County.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested Ann Fye and charged her with arson. It all started Monday evening when deputies responded to a home on Krakul Lane in St. Stephen in reference to an arson.

When authorities arrived, a St. Stephen police officer had Fye in his custody. The officer said that when he arrived at the home, he found Fye, her sister and the victim arguing in the backyard.

According to a police report, the officer heard Fye say, "Yeah, I've burned your ******** house down."

The victim told authorities that he and the Fye had recently ended their relationship, but he had allowed her to live in the home until she could find another place to live.

According to investigators, when the victim and the Fye's sister were outside, the suspect came out of the home and said that she had set the house on fire.
