Victim identified in 3-car accident in Goose Creek

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Authorities have identified a man who was killed in a three-car accident in Goose Creek.

According to the Berkeley County Coroner's Office, 18-year-old Jason M. Taylor of Goose Creek died from blunt force body trauma.

The accident happened at Red Bank Road and Harbour Lake Drive in Goose Creek at 8:25 p.m. Thursday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed Friday afternoon that two vehicles were stopped at a red light when Taylor's car slammed into the back of the second car. Taylor was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Taylor was wearing a seat belt, the coroner's office said.

Two other people in the other cars were taken to Trident Medical Center with non-threatening injuries. The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
