NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – Congressman Tim Scott will be in town Tuesday night to address issues with the current budget battle in Washington.

Scott invites the public to come out and exchange ideas and opinions on the government's money problems.

The town hall meeting will take place at County Council Chambers in the Lonnie Hamilton public services building on Bridgeview Drive in North Charleston. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting is expected to get underway at 6:30 p.m.

The budget debate has been an ongoing issue in Washington for several weeks. Both sides are struggling to meet somewhere in the middle. The democrats have proposed nearly $50 billion in cuts. Republicans have adopted nearly $100 billion.
