Stolen copper leaves local businesses out of luck

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC)- According to police reports, there have been several break-ins at local businesses all resulting in stolen scrap metal.  On Monday, the field supervisor of Gregory Electric company reported at least $5,000 of copper stolen from their yard.

Thieves dug a hole underneath a fence to get to the material. The same thing happened at Auto Salvage Company a few miles away in Ladson on February 28th.
