Red Flag Warning in effect until 7 p.m.

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. The warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected due to very low humidity and strong winds.

Temperatures started in the 60's and even a few low 70's Thursday morning.

A few showers popped up across parts of the Lowcountry, but most areas did not see any rain. After morning clouds and maybe a passing shower, expect lots of sunshine Thursday with another warm afternoon.

Highs will be in the upper 70's to near 80. Gusty winds will once again be a problem, as speeds reach 20 to 25 mph by early Thursday afternoon.

A cold front will make it offshore by Thursday evening with cooler temperatures to follow. The overnight forecast calls for clear skies with lows dipping down into the 40's. Sunshine returns Friday with highs in the upper 60's.

Saturday stays dry with highs in the 70's, however, showers are possible on Sunday.
