ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities are looking for a convicted sex offender wanted for violating probation for the second time in eight days.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said on Friday that 33-year-old Daniel McNamara, of Eutawville, removed his electronic monitoring device after leaving the state.

The SC Department of Pardon, Probation, and Parole said that McNamara's bracelet was last tracked to Pooler, Georgia.

This is the second time in almost a week that McNamara removed his monitoring device.

He was arrested last week for and is currently out on a $5000 surety bond.

McNamara was convicted in March 2002 in South Carolina of committing a lewd act upon a child under the age of 16, Sheriff Ravenell said.

The sheriff also said, "We have information that McNamara may be traveling between Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina."

Anyone with information about McNamara's whereabouts is asked to contact your local law enforcement agency.
