Conway man killed after suffering heart attack while driving in Georgetown Co.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC)

A Conway man died after suffering a heart attack behind the wheel in Georgetown County early Wednesday morning.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says that 59-year-old Gary MacBay, of Conway, was heading south on Highway 261 in his 1993 Ford when he lost control of the vehicle which ran off the road and overturned.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. 

The Coroner's Office said on Thursday that MacBay suffered a heart attack when he was about 3 miles from Highway 701, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
