Bond set at $75k for woman accused of pointing rifle at clerk

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Bond was set at $75,000 on Thursday for a 19-year-old woman accused of pointing a rifle at a Circle K clerk in West Ashley.

Eleni Trevino, of North Charleston, was charged for armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

According to court documents, Trevino's sister, who is stationed with the US Air Force in San Antonio, identified her from video footage from the gas station.

Investigators say the suspect pointed a rifle at the victim and yelled repeatedly for her to give her the money early Tuesday morning. The clerk then opened the cash register and pulled out the cash tray, according to police. The suspect pulled the money out of the tray and put it in the pockets of her hooded sweatshirt, according to police.

Trevino was also charged for third-degree assault and battery by mob for an incident that happened on March 1. Authorities say Trevino and another suspect, attacked a female juvenile at the girl's home.

In this incident, court documents state that after both of the suspects assaulted the juvenile, they dragged her to the front yard where five other females left the vehicle and attacked the girl.
