McClellanville, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Forestry Commission says they are investigating the 2400 acre McClellanville fire known as the Windy fire as an arson.

Officials say 16 buildings were destroyed in that fire but none were homes. The fire started burning near the Santee River in northern Charleston County last Wednesday afternoon.

The fire wasn't fully contained until last Friday. The forestry commission hasn't said if they have any suspects.
