Undercover officers in North Charleston arrested a man last week after he sold them a bag of marijuana, police say.
North Charleston police officers, posing as drug users, say they made a deal for marijuana with 21-year-old Steven Jerome Jackson on Thursday. Officers said they established contact with Jackson at the corner for Rugheimer Avenue and Leesville Street, near Swamp Park.
Police said Jackson sold them 1.8 grams of marijuana for $10. As police attempted to arrest Jackson, the suspect ran away but was caught a short time later.
He was arrested and taken to the Charleston County Detention Center. He is charged with distributing marijuana and distributing marijuana within half a mile of a park.
