Sheriff's Office investigates Ridgeville club shooting

RIDGEVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened at a club in Ridgeville.

On Saturday night, deputies responded to the Blue Moon Club at 454 Eagle Road in reference to a noise complaint. When deputies were heading over there, they were told that shots had been fired.

Authorities say when they arrived they saw a large group of people in front of the club in some kind of altercation. A witness told police that he had heard gunshots earlier and deputies found 10 empty bullet casings outside of the club.

Investigators also found a white 2001 Crown Victoria that had a bullet hole in the windshield.

According to a sheriff's office report, deputies also found a live round underneath a pool table.
