Police: Drug dealers busted after narcotics, money found at home

JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department has arrested five people accused of dealing drugs after authorities found drugs and money at a home on Johns Island.

The Special Investigations Unit of the Charleston Police Department executed a search warrant on Friday at a home on Pamlico Terrace which led to the arrests.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, police say they confiscated 24 grams of cocaine, 2 grams of marijuana and $831 in cash. The investigation began because of information provided to police by concerned citizens of narcotic activity.

Police charged 35-year-old Nathaniel Magwood, 41-year-old Marcellus Cullen Evans, 41-year-old Herby Rahiean James, 51-year-old Patricia Frasier and 50-year-old Leroy Mack with trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and unlawful conduct towards a child.

A police report states that a juvenile, who doesn't live at the location, was there when the officers arrived to execute the search warrant.

The suspects were locked up at the Charleston County Detention Center.
