NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A 17-year-old boy suspected of arson waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon and will go to trial.
Police say Michael Lee Manigault of North Charleston confessed to using gasoline to set a dumpster and house on fire in North Charleston in late February.
A North Charleston officer said he saw the teen running away from the house fire. When the officer made contact with the teen, he said he noticed that Manigault was sweating profusely with jittery movements as if he was nervous.
Witnesses also told police that they had came out of their homes and encountered the teen. They also noticed that the teen had changed clothes three times during the incident.
