Airport asking travelers to allow extra driving time due to Air Expo

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Aviation Authority is asking people who are driving to the Charleston International Airport on Saturday to allow extra driving time due to the Air Expo show.

The aviation authority says that if you are driving to the Air Base to attend the Air Show via I-26, please note that the SCDOT has closed Aviation Avenue at I-26; therefore, motorists will need to exit I-26 at Remount Road or Ashley Phosphate Road to enter the Air Base.
