ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A Neeses trio was arrested in connection to four separate church burglaries over the past three weeks.

Dennis Merson, Larry Jeffcoat, and Bradley Strecker were charged with four counts of burglary. All three had bond hearings Friday.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office said there were burglaries at Calvary Baptist Church, Unity Baptist Church, Turkey Branch Baptist Church, and Beaver Creek Baptist Church between March 23rd and April 1st. . "We could not have made these arrests without the support and information we obtained from the community," said Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, "Burglaries are taking place all over Orangeburg County, and the investigators on the Burglary Task are examining these incidents, looking for patterns, and identifying suspects. This group was breaking into churches stealing electronics, money, speakers, video games, and televisions, and we were able to recover some of the stolen items during the arrests."

A 17-year-old from North was also arrested on April 1st in connection to the Unity Baptist Church and the Calvary Baptist Church burglaries. He was released on a personal recognizance bond on April 8th.
