NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police say they arrested two men after handguns were seen in plain view in the men's cars at a parking lot in North Charleston.
The North Charleston Police Department charged 35-year-old Charles Harris Anderson and 27-year-old Kendrick Rashaud Bolds with unlawful carrying of a pistol.
Officers say they were canvassing parking lots in the area of Club Dramatic on 5075 Dorchester Road Friday night when they spotted the handguns in plain view inside of two cars.
According to investigators, the first weapon police spotted was the butt end of a black handgun seen under the driver's seat of a 2004 Buick Century. A police report states that the second weapon seen was the butt end of a black handgun in a nylon holster that was visible in a 1998 Cadillac Deville.
Officers say they began surveillance on the two cars and subsequently arrested the drivers and charged them for the weapons found in the cars.
