Alex Kreitman is the New Media Director at Live 5 News. He manages the station's website and mobile products.

Work Ethic: I love to take on new challenges and the interactive media profession is full of them. I enjoy teaching my skills to others while exploring all the new and exciting avenues to tell a story.

Education: I completed my masters degree in Interactive Media from Elon University in May, 2010. I did my undergraduate studies at Elon University and majored in Journalism while earning a minor in Political Science.

Experience: I was the interactive media manager at the Burlington Times-News, a daily newspaper in Burlington, NC, for almost three years. I began my career as a sports reporter and copy editor for the Times-News from 2006 to 2008.

I also joined WXII-12 in Winston-Salem, NC as a Skype reporter, which was part of a successful experiment to see if free online video software could be used as a cost saving measure during a news broadcast.

Skills: I am an expert in multimedia production including shooting and editing video, still photography and writing and reporting for the Web. I am also proficient in html Web design using CSS, image editing, Flash, mobile practices and more.

Interests: In my spare time I like to travel, play golf and experience new things. I am a huge sports fan hailing from the Boston area and am a diehard Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan. I also enjoy keeping up with the interactive media field by reading about new gadgets, programs, Web sites and future online practices.
