Police: Woman arrested after driving SUV over man, breaking both legs

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A woman drove her SUV over a man early Thursday morning in Wilmington, breaking both his legs, according to police on the scene.

The incident happened at Sugar Ray Leonard Lane and Kenneth Hall Lane near Eighth Street.

Witnesses and police say the two were having a domestic dispute when the woman ran over him, swerved off the road and crashed into a tree.  Officers found the vehicle later in the Houston Moore community.  They arrested Jennifer Mendez, 26.  She's being held without bond.

The victim, Tony McMillan, was taken to the hospital with what was believed to be two broken legs.
