Goose Creek traffic stop leads to Ohio fugitive

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Police say a traffic stop in Goose Creek turned up a fugitive who is wanted in Ohio for felony theft.

The Goose Creek Police Department charged 31-year-old Marcus Scott Randall of Goose Creek with fugitive from justice.

An officer said he spotted Randall's car with a broken tail light and stopped his vehicle on Highway 176 near Farm Road early Saturday morning. A police report states that Randall was only able to provide the officer with his vehicle registration and proof of registration.

When the officer did a driver's license check on Randall, it revealed that Randall had an active arrest warrant from the Warren County Sheriff's Office in Lebanon, Ohio for felony theft.

Authorities then verified Randall's identity and placed him under arrest for the warrant. Randall was locked up at the Berkeley County Detention Center.
