North Charleston man nabbed for home burglary, stolen car

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Monday suspected of stealing a car and then robbing a home on the same day in Mount Pleasant.

Charleston Police charged Eugene Francis Benson of North Charleston with first-degree burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle.

According to investigators, the burglary happened on the evening of March 14 at a home on Village Castle Place.

Police say the car was reported stolen on the same day and was used during the burglary to carry stolen items from the home.
