BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say they have arrested another former Berkeley County Sheriff's deputy in a gambling investigation.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office has charged Danny Dye for unlawful games and betting, keeping unlawful betting tables, unlawful keeping of gaming tables and possession of a stolen firearm.
Dye's arrest follows on the heels of former deputy Chester Grady Howell's arrest. Both Howell and his son Chester Norman Howell Jr. were charged after an investigation turned up their involvement in illegal gambling in Goose Creek, deputies say.
On Tuesday, authorities served a search warrant at Dye's home on Tuesday and subsequently arrested Dye on Wednesday.
The sheriff's office say that the investigation is expected to continue with additional arrests.
In total, 26 electronic gaming devices were seized during the investigation, as well as over $10,000.
