BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - One man was killed after two cars collided near Cane Bay High School in Berkeley County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a vehicle traveling eastbound attempted to make a left turn into the school and hit another vehicle that was heading westbound. The accident happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Troopers say that the vehicle going westbound went off the road killing one person inside. The person was taken to a local hospital where they died. The Berkeley County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 33-year-old Don Peace, of Moncks Corner. He was wearing a seatbelt.
The accident is under investigation by Chief Deputy George Oliver of the Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
